Hi, guys :) I'm not really sure what to do about ext 2 maths, so I need some opinions!
Just some background info, I do accelerated 2U and 3U maths, so doing the hsc for them this year!
Basically I have two options: do ext 2 maths for my hsc, which means I'm studying 10 units during my actual hsc year (but will have completed 12 units altogether); or drop ext 2 maths, so studying only 8 units during my actual hsc year (will have completed 11 units altogether). I'm really conflicted between the two, because I did pretty well in 2U and 3U this year, but I think the latter option will help me lift my marks in my other subjects, which are pretty content heavy (eng adv, eco, legal, modern).
Thanks, guys! :D

You could technically create a safety net for yourself by doing 4U, that means if one your subjects ends up not performing well for your HSC your almost guaranteed a solid mark for 4U if your passionate about it.

Personally if you've already completed the 2U/3U course I would take up the challenge of doing 4U.

Judging by your results, you like someone you is really good at maths, you should try to do 4 unit maths definitely.

I'd give 4 unit a go, you can always drop, but can't necessarily pick up.

Personally i think either do 2U maths or 4u Maths. Doing only 3U maths would be a waste of time since its only "1" unit that counts.

how is that a waste of time? 3 units of work = 3 units for HSC. And it's not like 3U maths scales poorly or anything.

also many uni degrees require or assume knowledge of 3U maths, so if you wanted to do one of those, 3U would be better than 2U.

Yeah pick up 4u it makes your 3u count as 2 units which is great since it scales so high even though it's same difficulty as 2u and plus 4u is fun so that's a bonus
