Too get a hsc mark of say 80 In 4u maths
What raw mark do I need approximately?

And what's the difference between the raw mark and scaled, does it change alot ?

Going off shadowdudes raw marks thread, 57/120 should do it.

Really, that's not even 50 % in the actual exam

So say your assessment mark is very low like 40 =s
Is there still hope of getting 80 as a hsc mark. ?

Its all about rankings internally. If your mark on the HSC was less then 40, then probably not

Would anything above 60- 70 be a likely more likely, and
Say you get like 50+% in the hsc then would they be more likely
Well I'm in a class of four rank last, and the three students on top are getting 80's +

Basically, as your last in MX2 you are going to get the lowest external mark as your internal mark. If you were to get 50+% on the HSC, and you finished last in your cohort, you would probably get mid-high band e3

50% raw on the final exam probably aligns to around 84-86 maybe.

I think the final for maths would have been 83.

Those marks that u achieved for the exam scale to 80-90 depending on subject ?
So it's easy to get 90 +

Well it depends. To get 90 in MX2 you need around 74/120 (2010 figures, correct me if I'm wrong)

Yeh an 80 in MX2 would probably help in getting a 90 ATAR. Shadowdude got ~95 from the marks you see listed.

I got a HSC mark of 80 in Ex 2 and I'd guess my raw mark was <50%.
