ok, my teacher is the head teacher of the english department at my school, so she set the exam (compiled it herself) but from past experience she simply buys a test or copy/pastes old exams together. anyway, here's the question...
"discuss the ways in which the concept of belonging is represented in at
least one of the following texts, 'marking time - john doyle' or 'othello'."

the structure of my exam is...
section 1 - 40mins - short answer questions
section 2 - 40mins - composing - 2 texts (persuasive argument, short story ect)
section 3 - 40mins - extended responce [essay]

id rather not get the essay Q ahead of time, now i have to do a plan just like everyone else will be doing. bcoz the yearly prelim exams are IN school all of my cohorts have been given the Q. so there's no advantage to anyone. of course if it was a statewide test it'd be a different matter, even still, ask your teachers about the question and guage their response.

You shouldnt be doing belonging now. thats next year and its against the rules.

I dont really need the essay question to be honest. Once you write a practice essay you have your basic outline and you just change the thesis according to the quote/question they give you.

All i did to study was quotes quotes quotes. About ten for each text and i included as many as i could. The essay should be 4 pages.

we studied change for our year 11 AOS, for some stupid reason they've set the question to be about belonging.
