sorry, i'm a bit confused. aren't the 99 and 100 keypadsdm got raw marks? if not, then why didn't the 99 got scaled up to 100 for 4U?

the 99 and 100 are aligned marks from his hsc exams. its probably did get scaled to 100 for uai calculations.

the top 4U RAW mark got ALIGNED by the Board of Studies to 99 and SCALED by the UAC to 100, 2 different processes...

my god, i live in a nutshell. so are your bands determined by raw mark or aligned mark? for the scaled mark, the mark disparity matters, not just the rank, that right?

the bands are determined by averaging your aligned mark[examination mark] and your assessment mark.

aligning of marks takes into account both internal and external marks doesn't it? so the assessment mark is only the hsc.

i meant that to scale a mark, is it that the mark difference as well as rank matters. thanks rahul.

assessment mark is determined from the performance of the whole school and the relative differences in ranks.

I think they're asking whether the HSC aligned mark is done based on school asessments and the ranks you get.

Not in the aligning process of the HSC exam mark. In that process they peg each raw exam mark as a specific mark out of 100.

THEN that mark is scaled accordingly with your asessment mark based on your school rank in your course.

If I could remember them, I would happily oblige. Unfortunately, I've forgotten alot of what I did.

Maybe the BOS will post them in the standards package? Do they have one for maths?

I'll check to see if they put any of my stuff in it when they release it. Problem is, my writing is appauling, so they won't be putting me in it.
