do you have to draw and extend your graph to get the approximation? or can you just estimate it from the graph?

This was from my bio trial.
There was a question on substrate concentration, which we were required to draw up to like 45 degrees. A question then asked to extrapolate from the graph and estimate what it would be in 75 degrees. My estimate was right, also gave reasons, e.g. it plateaus etc. and got zero. (was worth a mark, but everything makes a difference)

Just wondering, would you have to in the HSC? My teacher said yes, so probably, but just want to clarify :/

i think we got a similar question to this and we had to actually draw and extend the graph.
