my main argument is the napster debacle

it is nu metal, plain and simple. sounds like a korn album more than something new from metallica... i personally think they should change their name if they are gonna release more stuff like that.... metallica haven't been thrash/speed metal since master of puppets anyway

anyway, metallica dares to experiment with their sound
hence the S&M album
same with Load and ReLoad both experimentation albums
hence you find 'mama said' a country song
they've been doing pretty well...i have to admit i only like few songs post-black, i love every song from kill em all to black album...not saying their 'new' stuff is bad

just not as 'great' as their previous stuff...can't wait till they release a new album

after reload, they had a choice, release something radio-friendly (like load and reload) and be labelled sellouts
release something more like their older stuff and get acused of cashing in on their older successes ad be labelled sellouts
or release what they wanted to release, and be labelled sellouts

wot could they have possibly released for them not to be labelled sellouts
i wont argue that st anger isnt their finest work, but its still pretty fucking good
