I don't think it's so much of a cultural aversion to recreational drug use... it's just that movies like Trainspotting don't really fit well with the main Asian stereotypes. We're meant to be into asian series and anime :) Actually, I know an asian guy who did exactly the same hsc subjects as him and is now studying arts(creative writing) or something like that...

True, a better way of putting it might've been that there just aren't very many Asians who fall outside of the mainstream. I'd love to meet a few though, they're in short supply where I am :)

who cares if an asian did or didnt like a movie about drugs. your race doesnt determine which movies you like. god damn. now just tell us some movies you like.
