As for my judgement, I'm not trying to hide the fact that I do mining for the money. I got in on a co-op scholarship into mining which gives me around 13 grand a year to study. Plus I get a guaranteed job over each summer over 3 months where I get paid around 10 grand. When I graduate, I will be getting in the 100 grand region pa, at least till the boom stops. When it stops, if mining is not profitable, I'll change fields. I'm sure I would have saved up enough by that time anyway.
