sometimes they wont ask you to "find the file size in bytes, kilobytes, etc"
they might twist the formula around so you'll have to do a bit of manipulation/changing the subject of the formula.
for example in the 2003 trial, you were asked for the "time in seconds" rather than transmission rate, given the baud rate and file size in KB.
strictly speaking, this is more mathematical then "information processes" (which is the subject in question), so they'll be general/broad about it.
you'll never see something like:
"calculate the time in minutes, seconds (or degrees
) that a 24 fps video file is able to be shown, given that the sample rate, sample size, etc are such and such"
all you'll be required to do is to re-quote formulae as given in the text.
so you'll have:
file size = time in secs x sample size x sample rate x number of channels
or filesize = frames per second x bit resolution x length (duration/time) in seconds
simple stuff, you'll be able to work out it anyway (if they had asked you to, but it wont be technical or say, "to the millionth decimal place"
)
