yeah usually around 4ish people start receiving them, but its best to get them to redirect your unimail to hotmail or something, cos if you're logging on straight from unimail website, it gets really packed with traffic and you won't be able to login til later

Sometimes if you're lucky its Thursday morning. I tended to get my results about 11am the day before the official results were released.

Possibly this year it might be earlier, since pretty much every course has finished examinations within 2 weeks.

Unfortunately, that doesn't make every exam to be marked on time, since those lecturers are too busy doing research instead of teaching.

are many lecturers of more specialised third/fourth year subjects slack with marking things on time?

so far i have found the the elec eng lecturers and the maths/physics courses fairly prompt, but im only in 2nd yr

It's hard to say actually. In 3rd/4th year most of the exams are no longer multiple choice-based. So it does take longer to mark exams with essays. In a way it does take longer also because the course coordinator usually mark every paper because the course is usually enrolled with no more than 60 students. so it is acceptable if the course coordinator mark every paper. In first year courses, multiple lecturers would be involved in the marking process because there are 500+ papers to mark.

Most of mine weren't multiple choice anyway.
