Hi, i realised i dont know how to find the total distance travelled if given an equation like
x = 4cos {(pi on 4) t}
and it says how far does it travel during the first 20 seconds??
( i had to write out pi on 4, couldnt figure out how to do it properly )
anyway how would you do that kind of thing?please help!!

x=4cos (pi\4)t
period, T=2pi\(pi\4)=8 seconds
it's amplitude is 4 and period is 8
so every 2 seconds it travels 4 meters
8 seconds it travels 16 meters

ahh ok...so you do it kind of graphically/logically, rather than with some formula....thank u very much!!!
