We are about half way through polynomials, still have to do resisted motion and mechanics and harder 3U problems.
I just hope that we finish in the 3-odd weeks left.

is mechanics the same as resisted motion??

what sorta mechanics question could they ask

motion in a straight line
resisted motion
harder projectile motion
circular motion
the conical pendulem
motion around a circular banked track

Mechanics have a set of fairly standard questions that can be fairly well memorised. Of course they could pull an all but impossible one on us too.

motion in a line is that just the 2/3 unit stuff? or is there extra?

I don't think there is much extra in motion in a straight line only

x" = dv/dt if in terms of v

x" = v(dv/dx) or dv/dt = dv/dx * dx/dt (dx/dt = v)

I don't know if that is in the 3 unit course but I don't think so.
