I wonder if all the jesus-on-wheels folks who install Firefox on every computer they come into contact with also return to the scene of the crime every time a new version comes out.malkin86 said:Fx 1.0.6 should be out really soon, according to the MozillaZine homepage .

Ah, well that helps then, but so far I've never seen it go off aside from for updates on extensions (ie. never for new versions of Firefox itself)? I heard people talking about a new version of Firefox being available for at least a week before I bothered to update it manually, and was never prompted about it at all.jm1234567890 said:firefox has autoupdate
and in 1.1+ the updating will be no longer be a reinstall.
If that's the case, I'm not at all sure that I agree with that policy, despite the practicality behind it.At the moment Firefox's auto-update mechanism isn't showing the update but I remember reading that they are delaying the update notification by a couple of days so that they can handle the load.
hmm... it came up with a red arrow for 1.04. But none for 1.05, I guess it wasn't critical enough.ogmzergrush said:Ah, well that helps then, but so far I've never seen it go off aside from for updates on extensions (ie. never for new versions of Firefox itself)? Also, lol, updating not being a full reinstall will be a neat feature to look out for.
Ah, that could explain it too, makes sense because firefox is pretty much flawless, and the problems which do show up are downplayed as trivialjm1234567890 said:hmm... it came up with a red arrow for 1.04. But none for 1.05, I guess it wasn't critical enough.
