firewalls and proxys (1 Viewer)

ok i'm at csu right now
and to access the net or anything online other than the LAN we hav to use a proxy server
now how do i set up programs like kazza and mirc to get past the proxy
its really fucking annoying not being able to..
seeing as though its a 10mpbs connection and i could be dowloading constantly
*cough copyright cough*
bleh doesn't matter..

but yeah can anyone plz help me on this
i'm pretty adept with computers but shit like this just gets me

these are the basis details for the site

host name: www.csu.edu.au
proxy: proxy.csu.edu.au
port: 8080

password ---
ip address ---

Both Kazaa and mIRC have options to set a proxy server. Check the option windows.

i've entered all the details..and it still doesn't work
what else can i do... or is it just the uni's server not letting me join p2p programs?
