Hi!
I have my first modern assesment for year 12.. just wondering what kind of questions everyone was asked in their first assessment so i can get an idea. It is going to be one knowledge one usefulness on the first syllabus dot point in ww1.
ARR im so stressed.

my first assessment is an inclass one. usefulness of sources and what not.

First assessment is a speech...I have to talk about Opposition to the war in Britain and Germany. Should be easy, I hope I don't screw it up..

Same as well. It's the HSC type #2/#3 kinds of question. Double sided (fill-'er-up) synthesis and usefulness/reliability questions.

Yeh its not a bad assesment task, what do u think of it?

We're getting it on Monday. But I'm feeling pretty good about it. Our teacher has been giving us a lot of homework about source analysis - so we all know what'll hit us. I personally love criticizing sources because it's quite easy to write bullsh, scratch that, close analysis on it. :D

The other one might need some revision on role of artillery, the learning curve etc..! But other then that, it can't be much work. :)

Ours was:

1. Evaluate the impact that the major battles along the Western Front had on the development and halting of the progression of the war.

2. Assessing sources provided.

Other popular ones include:

- impact of the entry of the US
- total war
- impact of the Battle of the Somme
