but seriously.. yes you turn up to your first lecture. i suggest going to all your first lectures for each subject so that way you find out what you need, eg textbooks, etc.

o-week is on during the first week of uni as well, so i guess its up to you if you go to the o-week festivities or yuor lectures!

Well when you dont have class, (considering for most people only lectures are on), you can go to all the o-week stuff. :D

Why bother turning up at all? Just go to the markets, everyday. And if everyone did that... it would all work out fine. :p

i think its sorta crappy that we only have lectures first week....i mean u cant really start a conversation wiv a person and make friends....whereas in tutorials it would be much easier...

if anything- i reckon they should only have tutorials first week....and in them we can discuss the areas we will cover over the semester, so u no wat ur in for AND u can make friends!

yes, orientation day the week before, o-camp the week before (if you decide to go) and o-week is the 1st week of uni, when lectures are on, and all grades can go to it

ye you do
my previous quote applies mainly to ppl who dont know anyone in the first place. If you have friends, it's not like you're all gonna meet up and be in same group...theres no fun in that..surprise is good ^^

it's no biggie if you don't decide your group anyway because it's better if you're all with people you each don't know, so you all get to know one another.
