Where is the best place to catch big fishes and crabs in sydney without using a boat? Anyone know any good places to go? I wanna go catch big mud crabs and big fishes but I don't have a boat, so yeah post sumthin if you know a good place.

i once went fishing, cought a fish, and the hook went through the fishes eyeball. then landed head first on a rock when i dropped it.

recently a friend and I headed to Peir 2 at the rocks and caught a 42.5cm bream! and a fair few taylor.. apart from that havent been land based fishing around sydney too much lately..

Plenty of spots around the harbour. Try beach fishing, or rock fishing, except it can be dangerous, so wear the correct shoes etc. Never rock fish alone !
