Do you think the question tomorrow will be on the influence on everyday believers
for eg - violence and peace
- marriage and divorce and etc

and not last years question which was on
- sacred stories and texts
- authority within religious structures etc????

Yeah, I'm betting on the fact that it will be the "marriage and divorce" section of the syllabus.
1. It wasn't asked last year
2. In previous HSC's it had only been the 12/15marker once and that was in 2002 (I think)

I'll be stoked if thats the question because of the overlap in the other cross religion syllabus'

They can mix (sort of)(keeping in mind the syllabus isnt three separate parts but reather they are inter-related and flow on from each other) but in theory, a good answer will mix the areas anyway as the first bit
religious ethics and their effect on the everyday lives of believers:
– the way in which TWO traditions give ethical guidance to ONE of the following areas:
- violence, war and peace
- bioethics, eg cloning, genetic engineering, IVF, euthanasia
- the environment
- work ethics and business/professional ethics
- sexual ethics
- marriage and divorce.
really is example and the second bit
compare and contrast how TWO religious traditions use TWO of the following areas in forming their ethical teachings:
– sacred stories and texts
– beliefs
– individual and communal experiences
– authority within religious structures
– conscience and decision-making.
is where the example draws its influence/guidance etc from
.: they go hand in hand from an answer POV but not really froma question POV (would be a long question but it has been done before!)

Its in the syllabus .: it can be asked......

ie if you read it, it goes
background
example
influence/guidance
