Ok one of the syllabus dot points under effectiveness says;

"the extent to which an issue can be dealt with by the law"

with specific reference to an issue or issues from family how would you go about answering this?

well, domestic violence is a good one. how effective are ADVO or APVO's? can they always protect the client? and how far can the legal system go to protect? use the case on Lennon. or alternative family relationships in responce to gay and lesbian couples. with the alterations to the consent age, it shows that the aust legal system has been effective with dealing with changing community standards. but this recognition doesnt mean that they (accoring to the legal system, not me) can have access to IVF and AI etc.

just stuff like that. hope that made some kinda sense! :)
