i think hiring is bad, cos the only type of dresses u can hire are the generic ones, plus it will be out of fashion.. but your choice ~~ :D

for a limo - that's for showing up with STYLE n making a big entrance! LOL!
don't hire a limo if ur going to Water Edge pier 10 or whatever it is! LOL.
year 10 formal was there....n u SO COULD NOT make an entrance!! lol.
so majorly, no point in hiring a limo.

But...some formal dresses are really good & cheap!!!!

it depends what type of dress you want. Not many people ever wear their dresses again and so money wise its more practical to hire, but if you want a dress that isn't too expensive (and its suprising-some of the really ugly ones are expensive and some of the gorgeous ones are really cheap) you'd be better off buying it cos hiring isn't cheap anyway.

you can always save it for another formal...
some mates wore their formal dresses to a wedding or sumfing. lol.
saved their mom an extra $200...

hiring was never cheap..don't they charge by the hour?!? >_<

or by 12 hours or sumfing....
blahhh.

I think if theres a dress you like and its available for hire then do so.. personally i wouldnt want the responsibility of returning it unscathed by formal antics!
