or going out shoes in general

mine are H - O - T hot but the issue is they're not the most supportive of shoes in their style and they're at least 4 inches high, possibly 5. any tips for how to dance etc in them??

at my formal, lots of girls ended up taking their shoes off when we were dancing. if you're going to have enough fun walking in them, you dont want to kill yourself and end up having to sit down for most of the night

Wear them around the house so you can get used to walking/moving around in them

wearing new shoes in (espically heels) is good to get used to them, but you're still going to be sore after a number of hours of standing and dancing no matter what..espically when they're 4-5+ inches

post pics glycerine!!!

and wear them in beforehand. around the house etc. bedroom dancing, if you will. this will lessen the chance of blisters and sore feet at the end of the night.

also make sure they fit well, and if they dont, exchange them.

taking your shoes off to dance is not cool imo. the jiffies idea is cute though, but not for short people.

just practice. i could run a mile in 4 inch heels now, im a pro.

partyfeet don't work all that well, and they slip off :p

i brought thongs to my formal coz my heels were pretty high (for me, anyway), i died just walking out the door! so i was pretty damn glad when i wanted to dance :p

my friend was wearing a floor-length dress... and she wore sneakers!!! i'm not kidding.

for my 18th i went dancing in high heels for the proper first time. i found it pretty easy to dance in them. :uhhuh: twas quite fun with them actually. so u shouldn't have much trouble dancing

but they did get really really sore and i don't have a cure, i just grinned and bore it. there was no way i was taking my shoes off in northies. it was packed. my poor feet :(

oh i just remembered. if its blisters you're worried about, strap the back of your ankle with flesh coloured sports tape. i do that sometimes if i go clubbing wearing new shoes.

i havent got my formal shoes yet, but i've already purchased my bag. there's still time after the exams to look. =)

and i agree with Bex, shoes need to match your bag - it just completes the look

for my formal i kinda just dressed pretty casual..

i wore black jeans (that look like microfibre pants), and just a random top i bought ages ago at yd which inever wear (thank god for my formal, since it made me wear it once), and just white casual shoes and covered the heel bit with my pants so it kinda look'd a little like white formal shoes.
