Is there a set of forum rules somewhere and where?

There used to be a set of guide lines somewhere, however they are currently inaccessible while the forum is being restored.

In the mean time, it would be advisable to stick to old fashioned common sense when making posts.

I propose that some new rules are quickly implemented then as what is allowed/tolerated currently is out of hand.

Most things are obviously taken as a case-by-case basis, and a strict set of forum rules often cannot be implemented all the time. I'm sure a supermod will see this and may consider it, but generally it's based on common sense; use the reporting system responsibly etc.

Close to half of all posts would have to basically trolling/inappropriate language/racist posts. Yet most are not removed. There seems to be a lack of moderation (or any at all) in some forums.

From the T&C's:
"Although the administrators and moderators of BoS will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. "

It has long been established that a set of formalized rules cannot and does not work. Moderators use their best judgement, what might be appropriate in one forum might not be appropriate in another. We also tend to be more lenient then other forums, and that is intentional, and comes from Lazarus himself. It is a shame old posts aren't available as yet because Lazarus put all the reasons for this far more eloquently than I can.

Yeah I agree with mr. barnes, some forums need cleaning up for trolls. trolls have no place in the school sections of the forum. that part is supposed to be for proper discussions and for people to help each other and having trolls there looks extremely bad.

non-school section should be kept as-is except for obvious rule braking e.g posting porn

I like this policy.
