Four cylinder sedans (1 Viewer)

Im thinking about buying a car.

I was thinking a four cylinder sedan sorta thing
(as to try save some money on petrol)
(how much does the lose of 2 cylinders cost sa
I was thinking something like a slighlty aged camry
(ie 96, 97, 98 etc)


My parents already have a newer station wagon camry, which is the car ive been driving most so I know how they feel and go (well its a V6 but shush).
I know that toyotas are reliable.


Anyone else have any suggestions on other makes, and models?

Well definetly nothing over ten. 7000 - 6000 would be a bit better.

Be prepared for quite a difference between a V6 and 4 cylinder when such a larger, heavy car is involved. You will definitely experience a greater deal of sluggishness when overtaking, ntm when accelerating.

u can get a subaru liberty wagon.
2L boxer4 engine.
they have more power than most 4cyl

I would say get a 1993-97 Toyota Camry Vienta also known later on as just Toyota Vienta. It is 6 Cyclinder which you said you didnt want, but it only takes 0.7L/100kms more petrol than the 4 cylinder camry but you get the benefits of alot more power and from my experience no sluggishness.

My one had a advertised price of $6000 with only 132,000kms on it and was in very good condition. For $7000 you should have no trouble at all getting one with way less than 130,000kms on it.

Yeah we used to have a Vienta (97 i think)
This is why i know toyotas are reliable, cause weve had lots.

'93 is getting on, I wanted something abit more recent.

Maybe its just me, but people with old arse Intergras look dero (The manual one looks alrite)

And out of those cars, that second one in particular is a rip off......15 years old, 140,000kms, no a/c.....$8000....lol

deffiantly have a look at integras their a great car and they have pretty good looks aswell..

like late 94/65/96 ones

you can pick them up for like 8/9k now in good nic...even seen ones go for 7s...

very nice cars/ good on fuel and good on looks..

camerys are like a "asian" "family" style car, not been racist or any thing but asians always drive them lol...even my mate who is asian has one...

Yeah thats true, although Im not asian my car had asian seat covers on it when I bought it so you can only guess an asian owned it..... and around my way you see loads of camrys on the road.

Still, they can be done up tastefully and look alrite, mines been slightly lowered, got 16inch mags etc and looks heaps good.

Yeah they looks decent with some classy mods like ok mags a lil lowered..

I think asians buy them because their decent on fuel and they dont usually run into many problems and are pretty cheap to fix.
