free image editing software for Mac? (1 Viewer)

does anyone know of a free image editing software for Mac?

it's for my friend - she just needs to do basic resizing and stuff but doesnt have any programs to do it with...

http://www.gimp.org/macintosh/ I don't know how good GIMP is on a Mac and it might be a bit advanced for just resizing but I guess it doesn't hurt to give it a shot.
