Hi everyone. I'm Jeffrey and I graduated from NSB last year. One of the quirks about my HSC journey is that I didn't go to any tutoring at all during Year 12, and only for a term in Year 11. I found tutors to be too expensive, too inaccessible to get to, and too slow to respond when I had them. So over the past year I've been developing an app that can serve as the replacement for the tutors I never had. I'm looking for feedback, so if you guys can try it out and keep me updated on how you guys go, that would be great.
The app is called Curie, and you can access it at: curie.au
Right now, if you register you will receive a 7 day free trial of the Pro plan, which grants you access to all features.
You won't need any payment information. To activate the trial, navigate to Profile -> Subscription -> Pro (not student!!!) and follow the prompts.
Speaking of features, you will get access to:
- 1000+ unique practice questions sorted by topics and modules, derived from syllabus dot points
- LaTeX input for math and chemistry input to embed equations right into your response, with live previews
- Molecular drawing to practice your organic molecules and reference them within your answers
- Instant marking and feedback that contributes to your record
- Detailed analytics breaking down your strongest/weakest topics and modules
- Question filters to target your weakest topics
- Exam mode to emulate the style of a HSC paper to immerse you in every question
- Hints for most questions
As the HSC approaches, I'll start an extended trial for all students to help you all for the final push, so stay tuned.
Note: some questions may have incorrect tags and the difficulty ratings aren't fully calibrated yet. A lot of questions also intentionally test at the edge of the syllabus. If you spot any formatting issues or errors, please use the built-in feedback form and include the question number!
Thank you all for reading. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated! Feel free to explore around the app. You can contact me at admin@curie.au or in this thread.
Attached are a screenshot of the UI in default dark theme, and a sample answer marked in exam mode, as well as the molecular drawing module
