For the Frontline essays, would it be advisable or not to spend a paragraph (instead of a few lines) analysing the series as a whole and then moving onto the 2 individual episodes and 2 related texts?

That is, writing about its show-within-a-show format, the contrasting types of video camera used and how it asserts to be "in the front line".

If it is okay, do you suppose 180 words is too much or just fine?

im thinking of doing it, but only very breifly. If they specify i definately wont get time.

I reckon go for it, but cut down, and you much relate it to specific episodes.

our english teacher recommended that we did one, especially if we can relate it back to the nature of the representation and use that paragraph as an intro specifically for frontline.

Ah, okay, thanks for the help guys. So 2 or three sentences would suffice?

ITimber: Usually, you'd just need two episodes in detail but you can make fleeting references to other eps.

i'm only doing two eps - the seige and add sex and stir...cos i'm gonna have a paragraph to analyse the series and the manipulation of truth as a whole first and then move onto the specific eps and my other text/s

I know in Module B with Harwood they can ask for a specific poem, can they ask for a specific episode of frontline?

Should I know all of them reasonably well, or focus on two or three episodes?

Nearlythere:
I don't think they'd ask for a specific episode because it's our job to relate certain aspects of certain episodes to suit the question..

It's highly unlikely that they'd ask for a particular episode.
