Frontline's Double Structure (1 Viewer)

Could anyone please explain the concept of the double structure, 2 layer thingo in Frontline? It would really help lots!!! Thanks all!

do you mean the fact that its a frontline within Frontline? Because that is a technique theyre using to satirise a behind the scenes working of a current affairs show. It helps them to effectively juxtapose images/personalities/representations and truths. Hope thats what u were looking for...

Really there are three layers though you can mush the first two together.

'Frontline' - seen as the show that goes to air. You know, polished Camera, with Mike Moore as the anchorman.

"Frontline" - this is the behind the scenes one. Where it is seen by handheld character. In the office style. You see Brian, Brooke, Emma ect ect making stories

Frontline - This is Rob Sitch's text as a whole.

Frontline gets my brains in a twist. I have a hard time differentiating between those three levels. The marker is prolly going to be like 'o_O'
