Hmm, something I got from UNSW:

Listed below are the average results that have been required over the past three years in order to be offered an interview. This information is provided to give an indication of the scores that are likely to be required to be offered an interview.

UMAT UAI
152 100
168 99.5
175 99.0
188 98.0
201 97.0
215 96.0
227 95.0

Examples:

• If the sum of the 3 UMAT scores (the actual marks, not the percentile ranks) was 152, the UAI required to obtain an interview was 100.
• If the combined UMAT score (as defined above) was 168, the UAI required to obtain an interview was 99.50

So anyway, I guess if you do really really good in UMAT then you don't need a very high UAI at all (I use this in proportion to the stereotype, not that 95UAI is low at all...)

does anyone know the highest UMAT score ever? Is it possible to get 300?

I'll be happy if I hit 90, but anywhere between 90 and 95 would be great.
I want to do either design (no decided uni or college yet) or an english/teaching double degree at monash uni.

Art Theory/Law....probably analysis of artwork or something.

Yeah I'd love to get into a sydney uni - I'm hoping I get into Usyd, UNSW or UTS (in order of preference)/ Seems fun spending most of your time in the city.

Art Theory/Law....probably analysis of artwork or something.

No... it's much more complicated than analysis of artwork. It's a very in-depth version of the Theory component of the Visual Arts syllabus, and focuses a lot on Art History. With Art Theory, you also get to spend time at COFA and paint and whatnot, I do believe

Not necessarily. There were two people from Trinity Grammar who got in with 99.2 and 99.15.

What university do u want to go after HSC?

HEY peoples!
Year 12s comming up, studying hard? =)

Three questions i wanted to ask! It would be intresting to see what you guys are currently thinking about before we start year 12.

1. What university are you aiming to go to and why?

2. What university do you think has the best scholarships and if your thinking of applying for a scholarship, what scholarships are you thinking of applying for?

3. Are there anything other program etc you are thinking of doing whilst at uni? For example.. Cadetship for accounting, Business cadetship, Australian Youth Ambassador etc

1. I want to go to either the University of Sydney or the University of New South Wales - mainly because those are highly regarded as our finest universities, so I want to go because of the prestige of the uni, as well as the fact as they're in the city - and I'd love to spend most of my time in the city.

2. I think the University of Technology or University of Western Sydney has a lot of scholarships however the best scholarships would probably again be Usyd or UNSW. I'm not going for a scholarship - I want to get a cadetship with a business/finance company.

UWS Campbelltown or University of Wollongong for Law, I need at least 85-89 UAI cause both Universities offer extra credit points. Forgot why though, will have to look into it again. If that fails, probably will end up in Victoria somewhere cause I remember reading that a Uni there offers Law for like, 75 UAI/ENTER.
