Well the current DVD is a 2-disc set... one with the movie and another with some special features

but the 4-disc DVD set coming out just before the second movie will have like 3 times the amount of special features on the first movie.

I read that somewhere...god thats dodgy - its so obvious its just a ploy to get people to buy twice - and look its released just before christmas! How convenient!

Are you talking about the 2nd movie or the 4-disc DVD? the 2nd movie comes out on Boxing Day

According the the trailer I downloaded from the official website, it says it comes out on the 18th of December... I just watched the trailer again... but it probably ends up in Australia on the 26th though

But I think the 4 disc DVD set comes out around september some time...

And to make matters worse, they've licensed the rights to Games-Workshop (they of GW fame), and have made a game that amounts to 'I'll put my expensive models here, you do the same with yours there, and we'll roll a dice to see who wins'.

Dreadful, I shout. It's tarnished the reputation of a good book, especially when they left Bombadil out of the movie. Gyets. #>8-(
