Ok guys i was just wondering.. i have completed my HSC for 2007 and have received UAI.

And i am about to go on a trip to my home country for 1year, that is yr2008.
and i want to start UNI from year 2009.

for that to happen, do i have to take another test?? or just use the UAI for hsc2007?? how does gap year thing work.. plz help.

My godson got his UAI in 2004 and then went to TAFE for two years.

In 2007 (uni offers based on 2006 UAIs) he used the UAI from two years earlier to get into the course he wanted to do.

Based on that precedent I would assume that you simply apply using your UAI from this year to go into the offers based on the 2008 HSC results.

Your UAI will be valid for the rest of your life, don't worry about that

However if you can you should be applying to courses now, and then deferring them... if you haven't applied to UAC, just remember to apply next year through the system

I thought the UAI was valid for 6 years or something?

Have you apply to uni/been offered a place now?

If so then you should just defer it for the year and start in 2009.
