GEN MATHS: Median (1 Viewer)

Hey guys is there a quick way to find the median in stats? I do it by writing all the scores out in order and then crossing one off each end until i get the median. (i must have been away when we did this in class i was still in the 2U maths class). It's a lot of work, especially when u have over 20 scores. Help?

count how many numbers
half that number
if it is .5 round up to the next number

if there is an odd no. of data

median = n + 1 divided by 2. This gives the position of the median, not the median itself.
