I missed 10 b) iv) and v) because it was hard. TBH, I guessed part 3 but apparently it's right. r= P/4 ?

for 9 c) graphic, I think I'll lose 1 mark because I made the graph go above the x axis at the end....

9 b) ii) I failed. I don't know if I did i) right.

8 c) ii 2) was wtf.......... ??? did anyone get $1451 or something
yep I got something like that for the $

I believe that's right. How'd you do it?

well for part i you wouldve gotten root (n+1) - root (n)

so if you wrote out your first few terms youd get something like

root2 -root1 + root3 - root2 + root4-root3 .........root98 -root 97 + root 99-root 98 +root 100 - root99

so all numbers except for -root1 and root 100 would get cancelled so you get -1+10 = 9

Is this d)ii)?
I think i ended up using the sum of an arithmetic series (and i'm beginning to suspect it wasn't) and got 23 point something.
I have a feeling it's wrong.

'C' comes from the equation of the line x=c, to find volume around the y axis u need x^2, so x^2=c^2. Integrating this u get c^3 / 3 between o and h
But the equation was already y=x^2, you didn't to change it... you need pi (Integral) x^2, which would be just the integral of y times pi. Or have I stuffed up?

Yeah it was bound between the curve and y axis.. Therefore must be x^2 equals.. I started to make it y^2 equals but quickly realised :)

Considering its about a 95 for last year, im saying it'd be a 90 - 93 for a band 6... Band 5 would be about 75 - 80?

Uh..i'm looking at 80-90/120 seriously it all depends how the markers mark my answers....

Easiest test in the world. Pretty sure 90-95% (band 6) and finished under 2 hours

How do you know the moderation of exam marks and stuff?
If you get a raw score of 105-110, what would be the moderated score/percentage?

hi, I applied for my raw marks last year, and I received 108/120 in the HSC exam. My exam mark was 96. :) hope this helps give you a ball park figure, I'd be thinking between 94 and 97. :)

Did you apply for a raw mark for economics? If so what was it?

This is most helpful.
Now to compare this, we need someone who applied for raw marks that got a band 5, and then use them as rough guides.

Raw mark of 90% gets scaled to 96% eh.
Depending on how maths turns out, i may or may not have to kiss my 88.00 goodbye.

did anyone got that the Loudness increased by ln 2 for the loudness question?

Also was the sum of the series in q9 = to 9?
The sum of the series came out as (square root 100) - (square root of 1)....doesnt this have four answers.. (-9,9, 11, -11)??
