Actually some of those lectures might be useful, hmm if I'm bored enough I might actually rock up to a few.

Is week 0 compulsary? all subjects start week 1, right?.
From what I've read, it doesn't seem like Week 0 is compulsory. You can probably stay at home for that entire week and have an extra holiday before the serious learning begins; i.e. week 1.

Alright, I might go to some. Do you have to register?

Also one more q (sorry Im being annoying) with your student card when should you get it? like week 1 or before then?.
get it now, or suffer long queues during o-week.

You have to register your email and student ID to be able to book.

O-Week: 23rd - 27th February, UNSW O-Week 2009: Turn It Up
Week Zero: 2nd - 6th March, https://my.unsw.edu.au/student/start/index.html

Once again UNSW students start late, that's hot.

This year the Faculty of Engineering, is running a Student Networking
Program for First Year Engineering Students to help them in their
transition to UNSW. If you are studying at UNSW you could support new
students this year by becoming a Mentor.

Benefits to Mentors include:

* Professional mentoring training

* Enhancement of your CV

* Sharpened leadership and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of University support systems
* Utilisation of your University experiences
* Certificate of participation
* Fun and rewarding program
who wants to be a mentor?
