wth does a google search on uniwide always give

"We're sorry...

... but your query looks similar to automated requests from a computer virus or spyware application."

and you have to enter a caption to continue

Are we able to set up aliasing with this new zMail contraption like we could with unimail? I want first.last@zmail.unsw.edu.au and not z1234567@zmail.unsw.edu.au

Edit: confusion. Apparently the email addresses are staying the same (i.e. z1234567@student.unsw.edu.au, or an alias perhaps). But in the zMail setup they ask you to forward that address to z1234567@zmail.unsw.edu.au. So @zmail does work as an email address, but I'm assuming that when they kill off unimail that @student will be "aliased" to @zmail. I think. That or they're leaving their email servers intact and just putting in a forward like what we've been asked to do in the mean time. As for why they'd bother with that since it's being hosted by Microsoft now, well who knows...

I dread having to give way to an obese person/move around an obese person, if ever I see one.

hello boys and girls

im doing an assignment about international students and unsw seems to be by general consensus the most heavily populated

firstly, what are your opinions of them?
have you ever worked with them?

how do you feel about international med students at usyd not getting the same opportunties as local students?

if you could please also leave your first name and what degree/year you are doing, that would be nice.

Irrespective of my distaste and contempt for many of them at my university, if they have the money and are willing to make an effort for their degree, then by all means, they are entitled to whatever resources necessary to complete their education and so forth.

Like many others who say these individuals need to integrate into our society, I can only respond that at most, they only need to follow our laws. When I refer to international students, I am mostly referring to Asians because 'surprise, surprise', they constitute the majority at our university. I'm not asking them to try and adapt to our Australian culture because for many of them, they're simply not going to. I'm not asking them to be my friend because chances are, it's not like I'm going to bother reaching out to them anyway. The reality today in our university is that the cultural barrier between local and international students has probably grown stronger and will continue to result in a lack of social interaction between either group. Neither side has any real purpose to reach out on a large scale so things aren't going to change.

In essence, if they just follow our laws and continue to keep paying for their education (because these students are footing the bill for our university and many others), then they're welcome.

have you ever worked with them?

Yes, but they all coincidentally have been mostly westernised and are pretty indistinguishable from a local unless they mention themselves they're international students.

As for the few that don't fit this category, they were all mostly quiet and hard-working and didn't really socialise with the others. Which is fine because I was like that half the time anyway...

Not much....

I'm afraid I don't know enough and admittedly, don't care too much about USYD or their post-grad med faculty to have a more concise opinion.

ROFL today i was sitting in the eora lounge with my friend when i noticed there was some writing on the back of his seat. It said "fat people should sit here"

This made me laugh for two reasons: he's a bit "chubby" and also i thought of the previous obesity remark made in this thread and another one lmao.
