You get to enrol really early and get good allocations. Last year we got to enrol into subjects between mid-november to mid-december.
I can't say much about examination timetables though, they tend to get even worse going through the years in uni.
So, UTS doesn't really pick on 1st years in all aspects.

"The University wishes to assure students and potential students that current Kuring-gai offerings will continue at Kuring-gai for 2007 - 2009... The University would adhere to such an approach if any courses were to be transferred from Kuring-gai to the City after the start of 2010."
Still a long time away.
Technically the land isn't sold, it is rather being planned for reuse.

hahaha damn ill be shit scared if that happened to me.
i didnt receive the email, but i know im 99% certain that i passed. By how much i passed, i would know when i phone the hotline tomorrow afternoon.

Haha, nah i didn't get one so I think its safe to assume that the ones who did get it must of not made it past the 40% cut off? Omg I messaged Rosemary and she's like if you do not pass chem1c you cannot do chem2c blah, she never said anything about a supplementry exam!

the hotline is in the other thread...guesstimate/results thread
they say it will be available at around 5pm, so well give it a try then.
I think it happens with all unis....if youre just under a pass range, then they will organise a supplementary exam to see whether you can pass or not. That would be a pain to study for though, since youre still in a holiday mood

so your faculty offer PC?
back at unsw, they offer a subject of PC if your mark is in a range of 46-49 and your overall WAM for that semester is greater than 53.

I don't think UTS offers conceded passes anymore.
Some of the subjects I've done say that if you get between 45-49, you get to do the supplementary exam with a maximum final exam mark of 50.
Some other subjects, it is just 50 above or come next semester!
What Musk is probably saying depends on the subject and the co-ordinator.

yeah and some subjects require u to pass the final to pass the subject
finance used to be like that
they changed that last semester because of such high failure rates!
