Are you going to the Law Electives Fair on Thursday? I reckon it might be worth a look. I've done Labour Law, be doing Biomedical Law in the Summer and I know I will do Sports Law but it might be worth a look.

How did you go in Equity?

Dear Student

On Thursday the 23rd of October 2008, the Law Faculty will be holding
a Law electives market. The purpose of the market is to assist you
to choose the right subjects to major/specialise in within your
course in time for 2009 continuing enrolment which will take place
during November 2008.

Law Academics and Subject Coordinators will be available to discuss
the range of electives offered to both undergraduate and
postgraduate students offered in 2009.

The market will be held at the UTS Haymarket campus in room CM05C.01.05
from 1pm - 2pm.
RSVP's are not required. Further details regarding the event can be found

class test- 10 essays. 4 are chosen. closed book. Like RP
then a major essay due in the exam week

I was really happy considering the difficulty of the essay questions.

Deceptive Trade Practices seems pretty much an expansion of Commercial Law. I dont love Comm Law to be honest.

What other electives are you considering?

BTW hows Admin?

i wanna do one in intellectual property
not sure of the other

DTP is alrite
geoff moore is great
commercial law sucked
but this was good
just got the major essay left

oh and admin SUCKS!

i hate it soo much
its on the friday
same week as equity
and in that same week on the mon- 2 days b4 equity my major DTP essay is due
this semester is so bad

I was going to go, but my class ended at 11 instead of 12; so I wasnt too keen to sit around and wait for 2 hours.

I am pretty confused with the electives I want to do.

I really only have one free choice, since I have done Labour Law (which I would recommend) and I really want to do Sports Law.

That said, I might just do Biomedical Law in SUmmer because it is ONLY 5 days of classes and probably only 1 assignment. Good to get a whole subject out of the way. Though I think I might wait and see on Nov 3 what subjects are available and when.

I want to study accounting for business and business law & ethics during the summer session.Any idea how many days I'll be spending at the uni? How is the assessment during summer as the session is only going to last ~1 month? Only final exams?

nah the assessment is exactly the same
u just do it over summer
n in shorter time
intensive course
about 2 or 3 lectures a week for each of those subjects
should be a mid sem after xmas
final at the end
and the assessment in the middle..

law and education gave me a subject outline. Sally varnham is teaching that
i had her for torts
that looked ok
but its only over summer

but my friend did law and ed last sum, n said it was rly good n bludgey
They also did new families, new technologies

But yeah as for me, no idea yet really
but am gonna need to think bout it after exams
gotta enroll for next year then...
and ive got planned on my handbook 2 electives for 2nd sem

1st sems gonna suck tho
