Hmm.. looks like everyone is getting them.

I have the spam filter on though (the second highest level I believe), but some still go though once in a while. I get about 2-3 each day as well =/

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Welcome the New Students' Thread

It is odd, but I almost feel enthusiastic about the idea of having all these newbie communication students wandering around uni in a short while... I wish there was a mentoring program or something like they've got at USYD and MQ. I'd love to be a mentor.:D

That's odd, I don't really get any spam in my uts account and I haven't got the spam filter on.

=/ Probably because I tend to send alot of emails from my UTS account to free web based emails. My email probably is sold off to the highest bidders there and now I've got all this spam- share and options tips and discounts on software.. sad really.

To other news,
Perpetual ID cards that are valid for your whole enrollment at UTS =O

I dont like the ID thing, what if I want to change my appearance, then I will have a completely different than me looking picture on my damn card.

Yes.

Bad idea UTS.

Re: The UTS 'Secks and Welcome the New Students' Thread

The old system was- you get an ID card sent in the mail every year.
New system- you get one ID card for your enrollment at UTS.

Photo stays the same in both systems, nothing changes.
But with the perpetual ID card- how are they going to get around the travel concession stamp though? Unless the stamp says like 'Cityrail 2007 - 2009' or something.

We'll probably have to get a cityrail sticker put on our cards each year, kind of like the UNSW and MQ people have.

I'm wondering about what happens if we're at UTS for longer because our study has been extended e.g Honours, postgraduate studies, taking extra time to do a degree etc. Do they pop out a new card later on? Or just renew our current ones?
