world cities + urban dynamics i thinkAre we predicting a world cities or mega cities essay question this year?
2018: World cities
2019: Mega cities
2020: Mega cities
2021: Both
2022: Mega cities
2023: World cities
they've never combined the two it can't be bothworld cities + urban dynamics i think
i would agree that it is not renewal because it never really decayed.Guys would the post-9/11 rebuild of the World Trade Center including that futuristic Westfield World Trade Center be classified as 'urban renewal'? I'm not so sure since this rebuild was a result of an attack, not urban decay and redevelopment
impact of urban dynamics on a world city question maybethey've never combined the two it can't be both
i'd say 60% chance urban dynamics, 30% WCs, 10% MCs
it could work in an exam, but tbh id just find a different exampleGuys would the post-9/11 rebuild of the World Trade Center including that futuristic Westfield World Trade Center be classified as 'urban renewal'? I'm not so sure since this rebuild was a result of an attack, not urban decay and redevelopment
it should be chill given we have a choice between 3 essays (pick 2) so if theres a bad one you can avoidimpact of urban dynamics on a world city question maybe
nvm they normally ask impact on a cityimpact of urban dynamics on a world city question maybe
youd be fine saying that, keep in mind though you kinda need to explain why those patterns of advantage and disadvantage happen, eg; richer white ppl had money to leave bronx. left behind low income residents who were primarily black and hispanic - low income is barrier to entry to higher education - leading to cycle of poverty, low income leads to increased crime as people are desperateWhen you talk about patterns of advantage and disadvantage, how do you not be racist (eg when talking about race with crime, education and income) - like is it ok to say the Bronx is 35% Hispanic, 30% Black and it has a crime rate of 30 per 1000 residents, less than 25% have a Bachelor degree and avg AUD annual income is 60K and a poverty rate of 30%?
id assume both would be fineAlso if we’re doing patterns of incomes in NYC can we just put AUD or does it have to be USD?
yea you can pick any 2 of the 3Geography will always give you a choice between 3 questions and you can pick the ones you like, right? It isn’t like English where you are forced to do a discursive/narrative/whatever, right…..right? Or can they technically force you to do two essay questions?
InternalAre customers an external or internal linkage??
