I'd be very appreciative of any trial papers as well. I have Ascham, Wenona, CSSA and Independent 2025 to offer but I imagine most of ya'll have done those
Any chance you can send through? I have a document with over 200 possible questions.

Anyone else have PDHPE tomorrow as well as Geo? I was pretty happy with how I went with the trial (86) but I was hoping to lock in for a band 6 for HSC but have not done any study because of PDHPE oops... locking in this weekend ig

Also anyone know why there isn't a trial database for geo on THSC? Seems to be one of the only subjects without?

I'd be happy to in return :) - if I can get hold of a digital copy, my teacher hasn't uploaded one but just emailed her about it.

Do you guys mind sending me your email unless there's a way to send a file through BOS cause if I upload they'll get taken down for copyright I think (at least the Independent trial)

Im starting realise that Geography might be cooked. I wish we didn't have a new syllabus ngl
I like it bc the scaling should hopefully be better, historically subjects during the first few years have had good scaling if you do reasonably well

istg if there is a question where they give you a map, and a photo, and they say to find the scale of the photo, i might cry
you can be asked to orient a photo or find the time of day, or compare the scale of photos (e.g. which of these photos in the stimulus has the largest scale) but I don't think you can be asked to find the scale of a photo

You absolutely can be asked to find the scale of a photo but it's quite rare. Here's how you do it:

1. Compare the photograph with a known distance within the topographic map they give you (e.g. a straight bit of road) - use the given scale to determine the distance
2. Measure that same distance in the photo in terms of cm e.g. 4.7 cm = 50 metres (known from the topographic map)
3. Convert to cm and that's your scale --> 4.7 cm = 5000cm-> 1cm : ≈1064cm

Also, Geography surprisingly scales well (on the high end), my geo teacher was showing us an article by the geography teachers' association and it stated that a HSC score of 95 correlated to an ATAR of 99.00. Which, whilst a high mark, I would say that is pretty good considering it's not the most demanding subject. Clutch factor!
