LOLS YOU DREW A LINE AND STILL DIDNT UNDERSTAND IT!

assume the line you drew was parallel to AB, therefore we split Y.

the top half of Y+X = co-interior angle = 180degrees.

the bottom half of Y = Z because its alternate.

therefore we put Y's together and take away the Z-proportion = 180degrees.
