I think it's somewhere around 100/120, but this is only an estimate.

Id be more inclined to say mid 90s/120
I'd have to agree with this, going by the 2003 HSC Maths exam. If you could've gotten 115+ / 120, you'd have to be a bloody genius.

I'm more inclined to think you'd just have to be a reasonably capable 4u student.

No idea about last years average, but it would have been less that 50%.

I guess this would also be true, however, a reasonable 4u student wouldn't be sitting 2u maths anyway (unless done in a prior year).

Try Laz's raw--->aligned marks thread and you'll see that it's about 50/84

Don't you reckon 50/84 seems too good to be true for a Band E4?
E.g. your 82/84 for the CSSA trial would've have got you a ~99?? Even my measly 72/84 (compared with yours) would get 93-94, which to me seems a bit unrealistic... :confused:

This person just wants a general idea, and 2u papers won't vary incredible amounts in difficulty with the exception of last year's.

It won't always be that way.

That was just the cut-off for the 2001 paper. The others could vary significantly. We have no idea.

Most of it was pretty straight forward, except for parts of that interest rates question and parts of the rope question.

The first time i did the 2003 paper i think i wouldve lost a mark in the very last question because i found the value but had difficulty in proving the nature
