Hey can any locals or people who have travelled between these two cities tell me the quickest, cheapest way to travel between them. Ive got friends who are staying on the Gold Coast but will be arriving/departing from Brisbane airport.

So which is the best travel option preferably the cheapest! Cheers!!!

PS, possibly there are some Gold Coast Titans fans who will have travelled to Brisbane for some of their own teams games over the last couple of months. Any information would be much appreciated

Thankyou :)

Yeah, I agree with Dumsum.

It might be a bit exxy from the airport though, seeing as part of the track is a private line. That'll get you to Nerang, and there are buses to Surfers from there.

Do you guys know how much that will cost getting the train from Brisbane to Surfers?

If you have a match ticket to an event at Suncorp stadium apparently you are able to use public transport for free! This is the case for events at Telstra Stadium in Sydney aswell however would the free transport also include the area of the goldcoast???

Thanks

Drive if you can- all you will have to pay for is petrol and the $2.60 at the toll booths. The train costs about $11 each way but REMEMBER your student ID card or it's like $25. With the train- you would have to get off in Nerang and catch a cab or bus into surfers- with all your luggage and alcohol. Alternatively, drivng down would allow you to drive straight into Surfers with all your stuff safetly in tow. If you drive- the place you are staying should have allocated your room some secure parking spaces where you can leave your car. This way, if there is some form of emergency- one of you can sober up and drive somewhere.

You can't normally use NSW student IDs in Qld for concessions on public transport, and vice versa. They're quite anal about the whole thing, really.
