Is my school (Fort St. in Petersham) the only school that has developed a cult following of Ross "Gittsta!" Gittins? The man's a fucking genius. Christ he loves rhetorical question and colloquial speech. Apparently he's released a book. Anyone got it. I bet it goes off like a barrel of monkeys bought by a country strong Terms of Trade.

Our old Eco teacher, who happened to be called Ross himself, and is also principal of the school loves the man (possibly in a more than platonic manner...lol)
but our new eco teacher hates the man, and I recon for good reason.
Come on a trip with me back to the Days of the Hawke government. Does anyone remember Accord Mach1 ??(full wage indexation) Does anyone remember how much it screwed us up, oh and does anyone remember its principal supporter??
Yep, you guess right, good old Ross Gittons. The man is over the hill - personally, I dont see what all the fuss is about.

If I was Tha Gittsta's kid I'd fuckin' adore Economics (as the Gittsta obviously does). I'd also adore the fact that my dad is Australia's premiere 'whacky' economist. He's the Tim Bailey of the Economics world.

The Gittsta! huh? Well i'll be sure to tell the class i'm in of that nickname for good ole Ross.

Our teacher is so much a fan of Gittins that he has said:
'you will buy the Gittins book'
Coming from him that says a lot (a few of the students heckle our teacher for reading mainly the Telegraph and only reading the SMH occasionally for Gittens).
Otherwise the class is pretty neutral towards Ross G and his work.

yeh... there's the CULT OF GITTINS at our school as well... not just the whole freakin' eco department but a lot of our english teachers are in love with him as well... which is really disturbing since i m friends with his daughter and we share english class together (and yr11 economics class until she dropped it... but definitely for good reasons i assure u all... just coz her dad's the greatest economic genius in the world, doesnt mean she's wants to follow in his footsteps, esp when she's gonna b a NIDA graduate!!!)

but her dad is definitely the bomb in economics! remember to quote him as often as u can in ur essays!!! its like an 0rg@sM for HSC examiners when they see "Gittins" quoted in essays...
