Hey, ive got a friend whos 21 and works at Gloria Jeans and to me it seems like she gets totally duped for the amount of work she does... she only get 12.70 p/h i cant seem to find the award for her anywhere on the net... anyone have an idea where i can find it or what exactly it is?

hmmm 21 and she's only getting 12.70, that does sound pretty dodge to me.

go to google, search for industry relations, and then search her industry, which is waitressing, there should be a table there.

but here is the thing, if she has signed an awa, she has, probably unknowingly, agreed to the pay rate under the legal system. call the ombustment people, they will sort it out.

i think casuals get bout 18p/h there but shes full time so she gets less. i got her to ask bout it and she said she was covered by a federal award or sumfin and no she hasnt signed anything excpet for the tax slip at the start

18 for casual, and 12.70 for full time? that's a huge jump. i'd still call the ombudsmen and find out what exactly it is.
