You won't be able to use all the 1G. The best thing about GMail is its speed and functionality. No image ads and rarely text ads, which is barely noticable because they are on the right of the message, and you never look there. Overall its one of the best web based emails you can get.

I give them all out, check my mail next day and its topped up to 6 again. Looks like they are going to go live soon.. I think. Or maybe they are just doing progressive load testing.
