Hey boys and girls:) Is there any good indie/alternative music to listen to that isn't mentally depressing or that doesn't make you want to kill yourself? I'm looking for something parallel to the Postal Service, Muse, Ok Go, Blur, The Cloud Room(Hey now, now).

Thank you for your contribution.

I'd probably give Phoenix's latest a go, Strokes if you havent already, Smashing Pumpkins, Interpol and maybe Radiohead's "OK Computer" or "The Bends" to kick off

this is so true.
i loved it when he posted whitehouse lyrics in threads like 'what songs can u relate 2', hahaha. or when he'd give an absurdly long list of noise bands for the multitude of 'favorite bands' threads.

CUM BACK LESSTHANTHREE/ARTFAG.

check out the psych scene its bloody excellent and its every where there are the aussie bands such as "the lovetones", "the morning after girls" or "the laurels", then there is "the brian jonestown massacre" from LA along with "spacemen 3", "spiritualized", "the koolaid electric company" and "the asteroid #4" from the UK these are just my personal favourites but there are tones more really excellent sounds out there that not enough people know about

and then theres always the flaming lips if you wanna feal happy
