Ugh.
Did you not find it insanely unrealistic?

I didn't bother watching it, but I've seen it before. I thought it was awful. I don't know a single 15/16 year old as naiive and vulnerable as the protagonist. I thought it was a really poor character because there was nothing about her that I found familiar. That is, she just seemed too unreal to be believable. Also, I thought she was stupid. Which annoyed me.
And wtf was up with the scene where she was hosing the window of the service station?

Anyway, you didn't ask for a film review. I think I just needed to rant. Sorry.

I think the hose thing was symbolic of Heidi washing away the issue, as it showed her friend's face behind the glass.

The worst aussie movie by far is Boytown.....omg that fucking sucks!!!!!

the dish was good (slight bias as i was living in parkes at the time of filming/release...)

other than that looking for alibrandi was pretty well done (the funeral scene and surrounding few minutes is awesome)

and of course the castle, galipolli

oh and the chick in clubland was pretty hot so that made it ok
