Above which rank would a school be classified as a really good one in terms of uai calculation etc?

They usually have like greater than 50% getting above 90....

Usually, selective high schools are deemed "good schools" in terms of attaining a substantial percentage of students with UAI's in excess of 90

Are you talking about the "league table" published after HSC last year, or some arbitrary list? I'd say top 30 from last year's list would probably be advantageous...with a few caveats of course. Not much help to be bottom of a good school as opposed to top of a mediocre school!

Doesn't have to be selective, PLC pymble pretty much owned last year, and they're non-selective.

wel had 59% (165 in a grade) over 90 and bout 24 99s

the 2002 grade was pretty mixed in that they had losta ppl at the top end, and lots at the low 90s /80s end

PLC is good because it's a very rich private school with lots of good money for lots of good tutors...
