An aussie band making awesome music at the moment is Gyroscope. Great sound and an amazing live show/sound. Some songs to check out, Safe Forever, Doctor Doctor, Driving for the Storm.

Gyroscope rock. They are like an aussie sparta with a bit of pop punk thrown in. I like.

Yeah Dave Grohl played on Nearly all the tracks. a couple were played by someone else. I like the first song on there and Mosquito off the bonus disk i got

Argh, I hate Gyroscope! The guitarist runs around and throws his guitar around when it is so unnecessary. Same for the bassist. Don't get me stated with their live shows, you can't hear what the guy is saying most of the time. They are just overall bad, in my opinion! I unfortunately have to see them again when I see Blink-182:(.

Yeah, a band needs to have a stage presence, but they just over did it:).

i havent heard gyroscope, but for the atdi and mars, they are pretty talented and can create the showmanship to suit the style in which they play.

Theres a fineline between a showman and just being a dickhead.

i have to agree with that, they are more pop than they are rock. You can say they are good pop music but certainly not good ROCK music.

god damn this thread is about to make me choke. firstly, to the man that needs to find the latest rock music, clearly you are trying too hard to be something u aint. but anyway, i will teach you. first thing to remember is, most of todays music is complete and utter garbage. i find better shit in my pants after a night of too much jack daniels. But listen up boyo, firstly, u aint rockin unless zeppelin is in ur list. full stop. anyone who thinks otherwise is shit. also add ac dc cuz thats down right rock too.. theyll rock ur socks off. theres plenty more u can add.. and u will know it.. u can feel the rock. as for more recently.. metallica u cannot pass up.. that shit is straight up there, but their new stuff is a tad disapointing, but still has the right energy. also, the darkness are straight up rock and queens of the stone age fucking rule.. and their old shit as KYUSS is mindblowing. and just for excellent measure add the mars volta. at the drive in are unreal.. but after listening to mars volta... that shit will kick ur ass so hard that u wont be able to listen to anything else.

so go forth my childe.. and learn!
