I deserved it.


Now advice.

How long will it be gone for (atleast 180 in a 100 zone...)

And how broke am i going to be?

I know a kid who was doing 189 in a 100 zone i believe the fine was ALOT like 2 or 3 grand maby more and I think he lost his licence for 1 and a half years and also court fees + layers and other stuff...

gave my lcence back.

Told me off.

He said itll be "34 -40" i dont what the meant... money? fine? months?

He then said 4 point absolute minimum

and that there was no way i was going to keep my licence.

You're fucked but, 90 above the speedlimit is quite heinous. $2,200 fine, 6 or more months without a license. I hope you have a nice rack babe, you're gonna need it.

Anywho, how'd you get busted? Did he have a radar? Did he provide you with the docket from said radar? Did he merely attempt a "speed match"? Why did you need to go 180 to overtake him, was he speeding too? Has he already suspended you and taken your license?

he means he will put the infringement down as 34-40 over the limit

soo if the speed limit was 100 he thinks you were doing around 137 which is lucky if you say you were doing 180 which i dont think your were...

you should only loose you licence for 6 months and the fine should be like 600 around that...

Oh, I didn't read this, good news, $575 if you don't challenge it in court. You will get 4 points off, and lose your license for 3 months.

Hardly a big deal. Work harder, save some more money, buy yourself a shmick car in 3 months time.

He didnt have a rader, it was a guesstimate, he said " i asked how fast. He said he was going 180 and having trouble keeping up with me. I definately can not let you off with a warning"

Wait, sorry It's a 6months suspension. 3months for using your demerit points and 3months for exceeding 35 but not 40. A lesson learnt but I hope Pierotte, don't get caught again.

I stick to max 30km/h over the posted speedlimit (with a total cap of 120km/h) unless the roads are empty and I know there aren't any cops around. That way I give myself one change, if i'm caught, i pay a fine and move on.

I know someone who was busted doing something similar. Don't know about the fine but he lost his licence for a year. Didn't get the letter for a couple months so he kept driving for a while.
